Futurama VCD Quality...

Does anyone in this forum have these futruama VCD's?

I would just like to know if the quality is worth it?

Anything better than VHS would be good enough for me

DVD version will be years yet =)

Don't have them, but heard they are pretty good VCD quality because they don't have the static problems that the AniVCD releases have sometimes.

I think first quarter 2002 is a better guess.

I have these for trade, send trade lists.

i only have jackass series 1 and 2

and all of futurama series 1, 2 and 3 but most avi and rm

i can get my hands on some divx's but you probably already have them

Hi, I just got them on Friday. I have watched the first three eps so far. I was really happy with the quality - especially since the MPEG I had of the first ep before was not very good.

The quality is much better than the VCDs going around on the net, in my opinion. However, note that it is STILL VCD. So when there is a frame change to a brand new scene with a lot of action, it'll be blocky for a couple frames. I'm still planning to buy the DVDs for that and more reasons. However, the wuality is much better than what I already have.

I have read that VCD quality is better than VHS quality. I am not sure who says this and what the reasons are. I have gotten in the habit of recording every episode on VHS in slow play format. In some ways, I think the VHS recording is better than VCD. Mainly, no blockiness when changing scenes. On the other hand, the VCD is overall crisper than the VHS recording (could just be that I don't have a good signal - its cable, but Fox doesn't come in as well as other channels).

For me, its worth it having the official VCDs - but for someone else, waiting for the DVDs might just be fine.
