Salut ! I'm a french readers and I live in lyon ! Je suis francais et j'habite � lyon , je suis content de trouver un francais sur ce newsgroup plein d'am�ricain ! Si on parlait de Futurama ?

To resume : i'm from quebec and i never want to see a quebec french traduction, even though matt groening said the best translation's for the simpsons was here, i'm not too sure about Futurama.

I find that the french voices of Futurama is good but there 's a problem , some gag dissapear ! For example : When Fry awake after 1000 years , he sees the date "3000" and says "Oh ! A milion of years" , here in france , it's "oh 1000 years" , there's a lot of example like that !

Is it just me or does Futurama seem a lot less anti-French than the Simpsons? I've not noticed any jokes like the which country do you like the least, France or Italy in the Bond spoof episode with Scorpio.

Personally don't have no problem with the French although I'm English, but Parisians are a whole different story, normal French are nice people.

Thank you ! The problem is that Matt Groening loves France ! So there's a lot of passages anti-french , it's his mean to show us how he loves the french guy !

It'd be great if in the French translation, Cubert goes "Bonjour", translator goes "Hello" and Farnsworth calls it crazy gibberish.

No ! I come from Lyon ! The france , it's not just Paris ( 2 milions/60 milions )! There are a lot of other thing that the Effel tower there's errr.... well..... wait ! errrr... well...... No it's true , in France , there 's just the Effel Tower ! greg

The french speak english in the year 3000:

At the countdown for the year 2000, nine seconds before the new year the french say "neuf" (french for nine). At the countdown for the year 3000, seven seconds before the new year the french say "seven" (english!).

Surprisingly, in the german translation of Futurama, the French still speak french in 3000 ("sept").

How is it in the french translation?

Hi ! In the french translation , the french speak everytime in french , because the french in the french version is the french so the french is french if the french is french ! Understand ? In the french version , Bill clinton speaks french , Matt Groening speaks french , pamela Anderson speaks french , Fry speak french and Homer Simpson speak french ! But everybody says that they are American , strange , isn't it ?
