Did ya'll notice the Matrix referances?

that was cool, I saw the movie again last night on HBO and its better than I remembered

The Matrix is the first movie I bought on DVD. Now I wish I had a DVD player, I'm tired of watching it on my computer. Excellent movie, well worth seeing a few times.

These are the ones I noticed. This is just from memory, there may be a few more.

1. the way the clone was "drained" out of the egg was similar to The Matrix's version of Neo being "born" into the real world.

2. The virtual world the Professor was in and the way the life support was connected.

3. The freeze frame of the ship as the "camera" went around it before it took off.

Anyone notice any more?

I think that shot was just done to say "Yes, we *are* making references to The Matrix!"

what about when professor farnsworth was asked what being hooked up to that stuff was like and he said something like 'I was living a realistic feeling life in florida with a bunch of other old people and we sat all day and waited for our children to call' - something of that nature.
