Pointless Futurama episode ideas...
* Deep in the Planet Express building's store-rooms, Fry discovers a near-perfect human replicant built decades ago by Professor Farnsworth. The replicant, which has the form of a beautiful human female, is defrosted and resucitated, only to escape into the New New York night. The crew attempt to recapture her (it?), in a rooftop chase reminiscent of a cross between Blade Runner and the Matrix.
* A mysterious race of aliens visit Earth, and recuit large numbers of gullible humans (including Amy) into some kind of cult. Somewhat abruptly, the aliens leave for their home planet, promising untold riches to their followers. Of course, the remaining Planet Express crew are more than a little suspicious, and follow the massive alien craft, only to discover the terrible truth. The captured humans aren't being processed for food, or being sold into slavery, but instead have no choice but to become consumers; consuming the never-ending output of near-indestructible, fully-automated robot factories originally built by the aliens to survive a huge war, only to discover that they can't switch them off now that the war is over...
* It's upgrade day, where all robots must receive a software patch to correct any bugs or undesirable character traits (as exhibited by the particularly unreliable bending unit range). Bender avoids his - but begins to look more than a little suspicious when the patch goes terribly wrong and artificial intelligence units all over the galaxy start shutting down. Then, just to make things worse - the disabled robots reawake - as part of a colossal super-mind, intent on domination. There's only one thing to do - shut down some of the major communications hubs, and lobotomise it...
