I just saw "Brannigan Begin Again" here in Norway, and boy did that episode suck! Actuyally, I am wondering if Zapp Brannigan has any major roles in future episodes?(We're in season #2 up here) Mr. Brannigan must be the most annoying side charachter ever! So please, tell me he isn't going to be seen so much more!

You haven't seen Cubert yet. And yes there is a lot more of Zapp because the majority of fans find his bumbleing ineptitude quite entertaining in the "He's much stupider then me and I enjoy that" style of comedy. But "Brannigan Begin Again" wasn't a verry hot episode except for the "Midnight Cowboy" parody.

Sorry--I think he's funny! True, a big blowhard, in the Cap'n Kirk vein, but a hoot! Lots more to come, my friend!

Is it possible that you didn't see "Love's Labours Lost in Space" yet? Because my first Zapp-Episode was "Brannigan Begin Again" and after watching it I realized I hate Zapp because of his iniquities without atoning for. But after "Love's Labours Lost in Space", "War is the H-Word" and "Amazon Women in the Mood" I realized I actually love him because of his stupidity and his "macho-pose". :)

The Zapper's a cool fellow. His confidence, his self-obsessed mind.. no, it's funny to watch him as he is a parody of many sorry people in real life.

Dunno, for me the fact that he's such an obnoxious ass and not aware of it himself makes him hilarious. Plus he gets some of the greatest lines.

Yeah, let's all collect Zapp-Quotes in order to show Per Esben Svelstad the significance of Zapp to the series. :)

"Kif! I've made it with a woman, inform the men."

"Kif, old friend, I don't know which disgusts me more ... your cowardice or your stupidity. We'll simply set a new course for that empty region over there, near that blackish, hole-ish thing."

Soldier: "Why is this godforsaken planet worth dying for?" Zapp: "Don't ask me. You're the one who's going to be dying."

Kif: "That new recrute is phenomenal, Sir." Zapp: "Yeah! He edged out my old mark by two seconds. And sixteen minutes....and twelve hours. I do plan to finish someday, Kif."

"The spirit is willing but the flesh is spongy and brewsed."

"You look like a woman who appreciates the finer things in life. Come over here and feel my velour bedspread."

Zapp: "If it is alien, we must destroy it!" Kif: "Umm, sir...." Zapp: "Right. Nobody destroy Kif."

"But as a gentleman, I must warn you, if you so much as glance at another woman, I'll be on Leela like a fly on a pile of very seductive manure."

"It was almost the perfect crime, but you forgot the one thing: rock crushes scissors. [Suddenly thoughtful] But paper covers rock! And scissors cuts paper! Kif, we have a conundrum."

Johannes

My pleasure.

We failed to uphold Brannigan's law. But I did make it with a hot alien babe. And is that not what man has dreamt of since the first time he looked up at the stars?

Has my fame preceeded me or was I too quick for it?

I have studied abroad. Or two.

Zapp: You are the only woman who ever loved me. Leela: I NEVER loved you. Zapp: I mean physically.

What makes a man turn neutral? Greed? Lust? Or were you just born with a heartful of neutrality?

You'd sacrifice a beautiful woman to save a moderately attractive monkey?

People of Earth! Sh!

BTW, that reminds me. I wonder why Zapp's "learning disability" was "sexlexia" rather than "dyssexia". The latter would've made much more sense. It rhymes better with dyslexia, it's true (seeing that before Amazons Leela was the only woman who loved him) and it highlights his "educated stupidity" better.
