In the original FOX airing back in '99, the left side of the split-screen credits, instead of running a commercial, featured a shot of the garbage ball orbiting Earth while "We'll Meet Again" played. I assumed that in the official cut of the episode, the credits were supposed to run over this footage (FOX has done the same thing with episode 2ACV04, as well as countless 'Simpsons' episodes).
Last night's Adult Swim airing had "We'll Meet Again" playing, but over the regular black-screen end credits. I wonder what happened to the garbage ball shot? Was it shown in non-U.S. markets where the credits were seen full-screen on the first run? Is it on the DVDs? (I'm still holding out for R1).
