I liked the Adventures in Great Novels thing towards the end, but I thought they executed a lot of the other satire rather mundanely- the one I remember the worst is the "let's do something stupid - join the Reform Party!" Gaah - Perot jokes are hopelessly stale now, much less 1000 years from now...

Er, the Reform Party lives on with Pat Buchanan at the helm. And judging by last year's election results, a lot more people find it stupid to support the party now than during Perot's run.
I'd have to disagree with your review. I found the whole episode brilliant, a much sharper invasion/attack on earth than the last attempt with Mother's Day. In fact the only thing that gave me pause were the book parodies. If any joke is out-of-date it's a parody of Moby Dick! I don't think they would have put those in if they weren't intrinsically necessary for the deus ex machina at the end.
