My problem is that I don't know the pronunciation very well but I'd like that the travesty sound like the original. F.e. Does ?-Cos-Sin sound like Wisconsin ? Or is better Wisdom is sin? I think that the travesty of Minnesota sounds not well but I havn't idea.

The emphasis is on the second syllable. You can find the pronunciation here: <http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?Wisconsin>. But "Cos-Sin" would be pronounced "cosine-sine", so it's pretty much limited to being a visual joke. "Wes can sin" would *sound* like the original, but isn't actually funny or anything.
