bender on the simpsons?

my wife was telling me she saw bender make a cameo appearance in the simpsons.. anyone seen that?

Yes. It was the episode making fun of PBS and the World Vision ads (think Sally Struthers) where Homer ends up in a third world country and meets the third world country's equivalent of Lisa Simpson (as expected, voiced by Yeardly Smith but with an accent).

Right before the cliffhanger ending involving Homer and the Lisa clone being sent over a waterfall, it cuts to a PBS style interruption where you see a bunch of Fox animated guests manning the phones (among them: Hank Hill from King of the Hill and our favorite klepto-bot Bender) and two hosts start hitting the audience up for money, saying that quality programming is supported by money from the audience.

There was also a time at a sci-fi convention, where somebody had a Futurama T-shirt on, as well as the time Fry landed on the couch in the couch gag instead of Bart. (I think they had tubes over the couch or something)

I believe Bender was in the Simpsons ep where Homer was a missionary. He was one of the Fox people at the end answering the phones for donations, Hank Hill, Luke Perry, Mulder, (Dana) Scully, Thurgood, and maybe more were also there.
