Does Family Guy Steal from Futurama?

What the heck was with that Family Guy episode a couple of weeks ago where the beer factory is giving out golden tickets ala willy wonka and the chocolate factory? Didnt that exact scenario happen in the Slurm factory episode. . .down to the umpa loompas. . . and the joke about them being practically swlave labor. . . I like the Family Guy show, but that was annoying. . .

The number of television shows that have had an episode doing a parody of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is numerous at best, off the top of my head I can think of maybe seven different television shows that did one before Futurama was even created. So, to answer your question, no. It's whats referred to as a cliche', done usually when the writers are either too bored to work, or are in fact satirizing the entire idea of the parody, which in the case of anything done by Matt Groening, is the more likely of the two.
