Omega 3

Omega 3s are a class of fatty acids believed to help prevent heart disease and other illnesses. They are common in tuna, black walnuts and hemp oil.

All of the planets in our solar system are named after Roman gods, with the only exception being our own. No greek gods or symbols. Meanwhile, "Omega 3" is a well-known type of fatty acid found in fish -- and widely marketed as a "alternative" medical supplement. (With some actual medical research too.) If you do a quick web search, you'll find this to be true. Give the Futurama writers some credit -- just because you don't see anything in a name doesn't mean there's nothing there.

=v= Well, y'know, I laughed at it for this reason, but it is kind of random and doesn't seem to have much to do with the story.

=v= You can find Omega-3s in flax, as well, which is why I've been unpleasantly surprised to have a few bowls of cereal that taste like linseed oil. If I wanted that, I'd just suck on the furniture a bit. Which brings us back to Zoidberg. Which makes me think that would be a pretty good name for Zoidberg's planet. <_Jym_>
