It may not be pre-empted by football (though I think Season 2 was aired at Friday 8:00pm - directly before a football game here), but they simply don't show it.

Once the ratings season starts, I guess we can say goodbye to Futurama. Instead, their schedule will be filled by other hit-rating FOX shows such as Joe Millionaire and 24.
Not true. Fox was pretty much the only way to see the episodes for them. We have Fox 8, the net and DVD.
I was pissed when $even decided that two seasons would be enough for us, and gave up right there. (And pretented the season final of season two wasn't going to be played, yet they sneaked in on, unadvertised). But the reason they gave up was Fox 8 on Pay TV... anyone THAT interested can get a friend to tape it off that, or subscribe themselves.
Seven may be arseholes who aren't consistant in their programing, but a show like Futurama simply doesn't (and has never) rated enough to justify them treating it any better. Sucks? Maybe, but there is DVD (or importing before they finally decided to release Futurama locally), pay TV, free to air or even downloading off the net if you are that interested. We've never been *denied* any Futurama.. them playing again is a bonus.
I'd argue that the only thing worth complaining about is the fact there will be no new episodes soon.

Yeah, but Fox 8 has only aired episodes up until the end of Season 3. For about a year now, they have been showing Season 3 over and over and over... Still no Australian network has aired Season 4.
Yeah, but that's OK. Technically, NO TV network in the world has aired the full Season 4.
It'll appear sooner then you think on Australian TV, and on DVD, too. These things tend to appear perciecely the moment you stop looking for 'em.
And then we'll no no more Futurama to look forward to at all (skeptical about the movie ever appearing).
I guess I was saying we have heaps of options still:- DVD, pay TV, downloading of the net, etc (including series 4 eps), if the wait really offends you.
