It takes place in 2000, so it's accurate, but did anyone notice the WTC in the trash episode? I wonder if they'll ever re-air it on FOX. (Thank God I taped the Simpsons ep based in NYC.)

I've seen a few shows across the spectrum that have the WTC in them. Sports Night in particular - they open many segments with a view of the city which has them prominently. A good reminder and something I hope overly sensitive network critters nuke out of fear.

Yes, but Homer Simpson vs. the City of New York hasn't aired at all - it revolves around the Twin Towers. (His car is illegally parked at 1 World Trade Plaza, guys in the seperate towers fight, a laundry line is hung between the Two Towers, Homer forces his way up into one tower to use the bathroom, and it forced to go to the other one.)

Geez, they certainly run it locally in my town (Richmond, VA). In fact, it airs on an average of once every two or three months, even after 010911.
But that's okay, since it is, IMHO, one of the better episodes. I've always been found of the "Officer Steve ... Grabowski" line and, of course, the great Khlav Kalash / Crab Juice / Mountain Dew scene with the street vendor.

Our affiliate WBZL has aired Homer vs. New York (twin towers and all) a few times since spring 2002.

Wasn't there an episode where the WTC can be seen in the underground ruins? (And I'm pretty sure some stations have aired "The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson" in syndication since 9/11/01, although it almost certainly was "pulled" for a number of months.)
