There is no special meaning to "718". The joke is that Bender knew the squad car just from the sound. IE: He has been hauled in SO many times, he can tell the difference in squad cars by listening to the siren, engine, or the cops farting inside, whatever audio clue he listens for.
a) you know all possible references to everything in pop culture, sci-fi,
history, law, etc., and are therefore able to eliminate every single
one of them.
b) you are a numerological expert, with a focus on the multiples of 359.
c) you are close personal friends with the Futurama writers, and they told
you so.
Might as well, I don't think he's working on any new Futurama episodes at the moment! He's probably sitting around in his apartment in his underwear with a six day beard, figuring out how he's going to get his next satirical, science fiction cartoon writing gig. ;)

It's essentialy an awnsering machine. It's what they used way back before they had a record deal in the far off 80's. It's still alive and well though playing all the songs that nevert end up on commercial release. (Until thry need to pad collections and stuff :)

I'd be great. You could do telemarketing in reverse. Every time someone calls, you try to sell them stuff. Since men kept calling trying to get dates, use it for a dating service specializing in girls named Jenny. You also know they generally listen to FM radio and are more subject to suggestion than the general public. A niche marketers dream come true.
Good one! I was ----><------- close to using that line myself.
