Has Matt Groening lost interest in Futurama?

Is he even involved in it anymore? (actually, it shows)

Yes, yes, I know, but Futurama was supposed to be his baby. I thought he'd be doing some writing rather than just hiring writers to do the show. My mistake.

It doesn't say that much. Futrama isn't, strictly, science fiction or fantasy. It certainly has those elements but its a comedy above all. So I'd argue that Groening isn't necessarily over Futurama. The execs at Fox are, though. No argument there.

And at Channel 7, where Futurama is supposed to be played here in Australia (no sign of the third season, no matter how hard I look on the horizon)
