I never even thought of that! I believe it was the phenomenal Billy West doing his best stab at a Wilder impression, but I remember thinking, "Wow... it must really be hard to do Wilder's voice if that's the best West can do!"

With most celebrities, I'd roll my eyes and think "Typical...." but Gene I'm inclined to be sympathetic towards... He's doubly cool, having played Willy Wonka brilliantly, and having been married to Gilda and then lost her!

Let's just keep that in mind!

Simply put, Billy West is the man..... John DiMaggio runs a distant but respectful and proud second in that race (that doesn't exist)...

But I thought Gene Wilder was dead, I think so anyway.

The comment was about Gene Wilder's film career. It had nothing to do with his charitable work. Jimmy Carter has dedicated a lot of time to Habitat for Humanity. That doesn't change the fact that he no longer has a political career.

It's not threatening, it doesn't attack anyone's opinion and best of all, some people may be inspired to contribute some time, effort or cash.
