I thought so, but I'm getting less and less sure as I see where they stand on policy. I still favor Kerry because he's a better public speaker than Bush. A shallow reason, I know, but when everything else is equal, might as well pick the one that doesn't come off as a gibbering chimp on TV.

Created OSHA
Created the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Attempted to make peace with Brezhnev
Opened friendly relations with Mao.
Hmmm... He's not the guy I would have expected to have done all those things. Maybe I misjudged him...
