There was about a five-second audio gap in the middle of the episode on the San Francisco station (I think it was when Bender was talking to the hobo chef). Did anybody else on any other stations notice this (i.e. was this nationwide, western-USA-wide, or just the one station)?

No problems in New Orleans.
In Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) we got a audio+video drop for those seconds, and it was on our local broadcaster.
