Hey, most (if not all) of the Trek movies were rehashes of TOS episodes with better special effects. I suppose Bender (or, better yet, Leela) could "bond" with the Space-Hippies or something--the potential for Futurama to spoof classic TOS episodes hasn't been tapped nearly enough yet.

And, just for the record, I've never heard of the TV movie. Then again, I wasn't even born when it was shown, according to IMDB.

They should have those on the show. . . or did they already do it? Does anyone else remember on Jeopardy when one of the first questions was about scifi tv and Alex pulled a tribble out of his podium, and said, "Identify this creature from Star Trek". And at the beginning of each segment after the commercials there were more of them everywhere, and everyone pretended not to notice? I didn't make that up. It really happened once on the show in 1998, I think.
