Oh man, I know the feeling. I had the damndest time with VCR plus a couple years ago. I got a new vrc and when I used the vrc plus, it would start to record, but then it would stop after ten minutes. It was pissing me off, so to figure out what was going on. I set it up to tape something and watched what it was doing, and it turned out it was using the "one touch record" feature. In other words, the VCR plus was hitting the record button twice, telling it to record for ten minutes.

Then I thought I'd try to monkey with the time diffrence between the plus and the vcr itself, but then I got only ONE minute of show.

I finally realized there was more than one setting for the VRC plus remote for my vcr brand. What a royal PITA!
