FryTin?

Has anyone else noticed that Fry has a striking resemblence to TinTin from those old European comiic albums? He's got that same hair thing going, as well as looking about the same age. And as for sidekicks, who can't notice the similarity between Captain "Billions of blue blistering barnacles, where the #*@! is my &0%%$! malt liquor!??" Haddock and Bender?

But Bender looks nothing like Snowy. And the old guy and Leela look nothing like the Thompson Twins.

Matt Groening, if you are reading this, how about some AstroBoy, Tobor, Speed Racer, etc. etc. references?
