Hey all - just wondering if anyone has noticed this: when watching the pilot Futurama episode from the recently released US DVD set on my computer I notice interlacing artifacts throughout the whole show. This is the only episode that this happens to on my computer. Additionally, it goes away when watching on a TV with a standalone DVD player (since that combo can handle interlaced video).
Am I crazy, or can someone else confirm this? I'm using WinDVD to watch the episode.

Watching any movie with a DVD-ROM on a CRT is problematic. I find that interlacing on all Futurama eps. Nothing you can do but shrug and say "C'est la vie".

Really? Because I watch a good number of movies (and TV shows) on my computer and this is the first time I've noticed the problem. Perhaps it's the way Futurama is produced that causes it to interact poorly with a computer display.
I think at least one dvd review noted the problem with the pilot, but said it was a relatively small issue. But no, you're not crazy.
Tried to set th equality to "best" in WinDVD and restart the problem? Since then I hadn't seen much interlacing artifacts on the DVD sets anymore. Also I set the hardware motion compensation.
