FOX FALL SCHEDULE ANNOUNCEMENT Fox has announced that reruns of The Simpsons (as well as Malcolm In The Middle and That '70s Show) will air on Wednesday nights at 8:00 in the fall, which usually means they will start in eaarly August if not earlier (this could be why there's a repeat on May 30). Also, Family Guy returns to the schedule Thursday nights at 8:00.

How come that flop gets getting second and third chances while stupid suits at Fux treat Futurama so rawly?

It's at a disadvantage because it doesn't have the grade school audience/mentality to fixate on "what crap Bart pulled off this week". But didn't the debut episode of Futurama (back when it was in what is now Malcolm's timeslot) actually beat the Simpsons in the Neilsens? And I think that the show would do much better if it was still in a slot next to the Simpsons, even if it's Hank Hill's slot.

When have you ever known a Premiere of a show not to do well? Everybody wants to see it because they don't know what it is. It's the 5th or 6th episodes ratings that are a better indicator of the show's popularity.

I don't think any show like Futurama belongs in a time slot before 8pm simply due to the higher standards and practices requirements at 7pm.

Maybe if the mean ol' fascist dating pool wasn't so busy excluding geeks and nerds; more geeks and nerds would have families and those families would be watching science fiction on TV. YMMV. :b
