On the titanic episode bender told his new "girlfriend" that he wasn't all he said he was. Then he took of his bow tie and said it was magnetic. My question is why wasn't he singing cheesy show tunes like he was supposed to?

or maybe it wasn't a magnet... it was year 3000 velcro?
Maybe it wasn't in the right spot. When Bender went haywire due to the magnetic field, the magnet was placed at the top of his head.
Besides it's not show tunes, it's folk songs.
