When is the big day?

Has there been an announcement about the first broadcast yet? George in Las Vegas

Unfortunately not. The only clue so far is the email to the participants in the email campaign against the casting director, where they mentioned specifically June 2010.

However, no further date have been mentioned. And I won't expect to get these days for at least a couple of months. And I am even going to bet that the June 2010 date is subject to change.

I seem to recall the extras on the DVD claiming it takes about a year to fully animate one episode (with overlapping work schedules to accomplish a season).

I've always assumed David and Matt had a plan before the direct to dvds were even finished in terms of writing. They've probably had several eps already outlined, if not fully done. The voice over work does not take very long. So a year from sounds about right. The only hiccup in that is there was mention of budgets cuts, hence the extended VO negotiating. It also cut back on the number of animators. If that is true, there is no telling how much longer production could take. Fall of 2010 seems like a very ambitous goal. I would not be surprised if it gets pushed back to spring or fall of 2011.

June 2010 still seems ambitious to me, but I doubt it will be as late as Autumn 2010. Besides, when the first episodes are being finished, they are going to roll them out as they come. It is not unusual to start a season before it is done.
