Logical?

I don't know if this has been brought to anyone's attention already, but I just wanted to ask if anyone noticed this:

In the episode, when Bender admits to the Countess that he's not of same social status, he tells her that his bowtie isn't even real, it's a magnet.

Back up, in episode 1ACV02: The Series Has Landed, Bender told everyone that magnets screw up his inhibition unit and make him act like a country folk singer. If this still stands true, then Bender should've been singing 'Achey Breaky Heart' or something, thus driving the Countess away from him.

Just a minor continuity error. Some of the explanations have been rather humorous though. It happens.

Truth is, I don't know what the hell country folk is, nor do I care, I just know that Bender was funny when he started to act like one. So, excuse me for not being musically inclined, I'm going to go listen to some of 'The Offspring' now.

Well, when Fry put the refrigerator magnet on Bender in 1ACV02, he put it right on Bender's forehead. The Bowtie in 1ACV10 was below his neck. So, I assume that the magnet only has ill effects when placed close to Bender's "brain."

My idea is--the magnet Fry gave him was put on his head, and the bow tie was put on his chest, a 'safe' area. The hoist magnet from the ship was also against his head.

Well, here's my explanation, you people sound like alt.nerd.obsessive.... Bender says "Refridgerator magnets", not all magnets. Fridgerator magenets usually have a low magnatism, but it verys with size. Now the bow tie, depending on it's weight, would require a bigger magnet, which may be too strong to have any effect on him.
