Did anyone else over here seem to think this too? I've been in a rather lengthy flame war over this on a.t.s; I guess nobody took it as personally as I did.

It's not so much that they trolled a.t.s, it's that they put so much effort into doing so and making it as spiteful as they could without really putting much effort into the episode...I mean that entire third act was the most confusing thing I've ever seen.

I really think that Futurama doesn't have enough episodes yet to come free from the Simpsons. Besides, what harm does the Simpsons do to you Americans? In Australia, both new episodes of Futurama and the Simpsons are displayed at the same time on competing free-to-air commercial networks. This is a tough decision for anyone. They have BOTH changed their timetables, and the other network has moved their Groenigtoon to the same time slot. What gives?

Erm, The new simpsons episodes are on Channel 10 (not nine) on Sunday at 7:30pm and the New Futurama episodes are Friday on channel 7 at 8pm.

My new favorite to add is in Voyager they talk about having to "download" things and how the computers sometimes are "offline"

The Star Trek franchise messed up by spreading themselves too thin, I'm such a sucker for Sci-Fi that I'm going to watch anything that has the Star Trek stamp on it, but not only did Voyager steal it's premise from Lost in Space, it's just not a good show. They should have kept DS9 around and canned Voyager, DS9 was heads and tails better than Voyager, but they thought that the viewing public wanted space battles, not well-developed stories with strong characterization.

Just go over to alt.tv.star-trek.voyager, the people in there would be the first ones to admit how much the show gets simple Vulcan logic wrong. Hell, it's like the Bizarro alt.tv.simpsons in there, complete with scathing episode reviews and people who keep screaming that they could write better fanscripts.

Oh, and Dean, I really thought we were making progress with "its."
