fox feels the heat

in the philly area, fox is now running the simpsons at 11:00pm. wonder if it has anything to do with the popularity of futurmama on CN. the fools at fox never realized they had an adult cartoon hit on their hands, obviously. it's never been run by fox at an appropriate time of day.

Well... with the exception of the first few shows that ran at 8:30 following the Simpsons (where the show really belongs), and a few weeks in prime-time on Tuesday or Thursday, before finally settling into its current ass spot on Sunday.

I've been in both the NYC and Philly area over the last 10 years and FOX often airs the Simpsons at 11pm during the summer rerun period. I'm pretty sure this is just coincidence.

I don't think the Fox network has anything to do with those Simpsons eps that run opposite CN's Futurama repeats. Fox runs nightly from 8 to 10, so those Simpsons eps that air opposite Futurama on those select stations--I stress *stations*--are syndicated reruns.

Not in NYC. The Simpsons once had a brief showing in the 11:30 slot about 5 years ago, but never since.

I miss that slot - they'd rerun the eps missed on Wednesday so one could see them again (a la Star Trek on midnights on Sunday)

I remember at one point they were running the Simpsons like 3 or 4 times a day. They ended it pretty fast though.

And I have to agree with that first poster; I'm fairly sure at one point it was on at 11.

Fox has been running Simpsons at 11pm over here forever now, so it doesn't look like they're trying to run "against" Futurama on CN.
