Saw an ad on Cartoon Network plugging their upcoming addition of Futurama reruns to their 'Adult Swim' line-up. What's really sad is that it's a better and more accurate ad for the show than all of the Fox promotions put together.

I saw a full page Futurama on CN ad in Entertainment Weekly. The caption was "Characters you can relate to!" The picture was of Bender smoking a stogie while having his arm around "Anglelyne" (sp.?).

Actually Cartoon Network used to have an annual event called The Big Game. Which was featured the day before the Super Bowl and put 2 cartoon characters against each other in a far-from-football match (Tom & Jerry, Bugs & Daffy, Sylvester and Tweety, etc.) and always had John Madden and Pat Sumerall calling the shots. If that pre-empted Futurama on CN it would be the ultimate irony.
Sadly the Big Game was discontinued. Which really sucks. At times I liked it even more than the Super Bowl.
