Would work if Simpsons IS Fox's biggest show. Unfourtunately, this honor now goes to Malcom in the Middle.

The ratings for Malcolm are still not as high as those of the Simpsons. do the research.
Hmmm, The truith is that Futurama's raitings have been lower then some shows that have been canceled, so in realty this might have been happening behind the scenes and we don't know about it.

That's the interesting part. It doesn't get Prime Time level ratings. But it does make fairly good 7PM ratings. It's weird. In a Prime Time slot it may get better ratings. But in it's 7PM slot it's not doing bad enough to warrant canceling. It's in a weird little niche.
