Bender = Moldovan

I just stumbled something really interesting. The word "bender" backwards is "red neb". And it turns out "neb" a word for the beak of a bird. Well, what bird has a red beak? The one on the flag of Moldava, of course! So that means that obviously Bender is secretly from Moldava. This is confirmed by the way he likes to drink alcohol, because they produce wine in Moldova.

This is a really funny joke that the writers of Futurama came up with.
