Yes, yes, but not bad for a 12 year old.

No, I was much more coherent at 12.

With the exception of Scott Adams (creator of Dilbert), you're generally safe with the America Off-Line filter.

The sadder thing is that @my-deja and remarq are making aol posts look nobel-eligible. Remember when .edu was the mark of shame? Then @aol came along and made -them- look good...
The cycle continues.

As a representive of the "People Who Have Brains But Somehow Still Use AOL" department, I beg to differ.
Becky (the only reason I tolerate AOL is cuz I have friends here)
Well, I did say "generally", which implies a trend, but includes exceptions (plural). (smile) Also, many intelligent people use AOL because they are not COMPUTER literate, and don't really want to be. "Waste of time that would be better spent on research in the lab", etc.

Fascinating. We've gone straight from racial stereotyping and discrimination, to service provider stereotyping and discrimination.
Gosh, we really have come far as a society, eh?

[Topical comment:] I have to say, of all the shows on the air (that I can think of at this moment), Futurama has the highest number of characters I'd actually _like_ to know.
Most every other show I can think of has at least a few (if not entirely filled with) characters I wouldn't want to know in real life [1]... Futurama's characters are all at least engaging, interesting, and would be a valuable addition to my rolodex (errr, Pilot).

[1] e.g. "Friends." How much would you like to smack the sh*t out of each and every one of the women?
I agree. Though, I believe out of all the characters, Leela would be the one I would most like to ... 'get to know.' ;-)

Yeah, that is something--if not for the ultra-cool y3k universe, I'd tune in just to see what the characters were up to, even if they suddenly started living in the PJs.

Yeah, but it's an even quicker process than in ATS or whatnot. OT threads take the express lane.

As I recall, they really had to beat the emperor out of him to get him to cry. That's not the same as just getting hit. Do you think you could take a beating like that one and not start to cry eventually?
Let's find out.
