Bender's ...um... thingy

Is it me, or are there not-so-subtle references to Bender's genitalia on the show??

Case 1: 1ACV05 at the blernsball stadium...Bender makes popcorn, then asks if anyone wants butter...he lowers the popcorn out of the shot (below his waist), pumps his antenna, and...squirt, squirt, squirt ... yaa-hoo.

Case 2: 1ACV12 during the filming of Fry's "Single Female Lawer" episode. Fry: "Camera 1!" <Bender's right eye extends with a whirr, like a zooming lens> Fry: "Camera 2!" <Ditto Bender's left eye> Fry: "Camera 3" <Same shot of Bender, waist up. A third extension noise is heard, but nothing changes...so we all guess what was "extended">

Surely I'm not the only one perverted enough to have noticed this! Just amazed that they got it past the censors. I wonder what might have been cut out :-D

It seems the censors are a pretty easy going lot these days, especially on Fox. Or maybe they just fired all the censors and do what the hell ever they like now.

i dont think this is anything the censors would have any problem with. the references are so subtle that any kid watching the show wouldnt get it anyway, and any adult would just find it amusing. anything that is not straight-out OBVIOUS doesn't have a problem getting past the censors.

If that Flanders-in-the-shower thing from Simpsons a few months back got past the censors, then subtle references to Bender's "genitalia" shouldn't have had any trouble (and they didn't).

good reference, that didnt even occur to me. the only thing i can remember being pulled from the simpsons was in the scorpio episode when scorpio empties out handfuls of sugar into homers coffee. then he asks if he wants any cream with that, and homer goes "uhhh, hmmm...no". that part has been cut out of syndication at least in my area.

I dunno... I remember that cream thing pretty clearly, and I missed that episode each of the first five or six times it aired. Which is wierd, since I almost never miss "Simpsons", but every single damn time I was away at work or hospitalized or in hiding that would be the episode they'd show. Well, the perversity of the universe will tend toward a maximum...

That is always included in the UK at least. Its the sort of sexual humour that I think is all too rare. Adults will get the joke and be amused but kids would not even spot it and certainly would not be corrupted (heaven forbid) hence no problem for the censors.
