Grading

In an earlier thread, I mentioned that I was grading each episode as I saw and recorded them. So far, they are as follow's:

1 Space Pilot 3000 -    B+
2 Episode Two: The Series Has Landed -    B++
3 I, Roommate -    B+++

Now, say the next episode is better the I, Roommate; but not worthy of an A grade. I would award it B++++, (I wouldn't go any farther then "++++" as any more plusses than that would be ridiculous). Now then, say the NEXT episode is better than that. What grade would it get? An A----, or simply an A-. "So I think you can have lots of +'s, but can you have lots of -'s?" I don't want alternative gradings for the episode please, just opinions on the grading structure I have chosen, and the above question.

Just give them flat grades and add one + or - as you see fit. Just because an earlier episode turns out to be not as good as later episodes doesn't mean it didn't earn its original grade back then. Extra plusses don't really mean much to other people, I'd reckon. +'s are supposed to be indicitive of 1/4 a grade difference or so ie. b to b+ to a- to A, there are four grades each within 1/4 of each other so as to indicate that a B++ is actually just an A-. Its like people who'd rather double something and add half again rather than just Triple-ing it.
