Jurassic Bark - rocky and bullwinkle reference?

In the flashback to when Fry's family was at home in the dining room, the animation seemed a little different than usual and on top of that, the landscape through the window really reminded of the setting for the rocky and bullwinkle eposides. Anyone else get this impression? It wouldn't be the first reference to that series...
