The cartoon is "Daffy The Commando" from 1943. It's one of those wartime-themed cartoons from WWII. The most interesting thing about this is of the rotoscoping of Hitler at the end.
Interesting, since the episode involving a war over a TV show from the 20th Century!

I thought that was so cool they had that cartoon at the beginning because we had just watched that movie in our spanish class. Definitly very weird cartoon with Daffy hitting Hitler on the head with the mallet and stuff...

I have to concur with the idea about using old toons in the opening sequence... My only question is when are these guys at Futurama going to use something like
Red Hot Riding Hood.. or Swing Shift Cinderella??? (Both excellent and risque Tex Avery Toons...???)
I mean sure You got Betty Boop, You got Grampy.. You got the Old Daffy the Commando .. But Matt G.. It you are out there Start doing some off the wall stuff with Droppy... or Like I said those two...!
