Yes it was (or at least, in the style of it, can't remember exactly). Vince Guaraldi's soundtrack from the TV show was excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes jazz and/or holiday music.
Here are a couple ideas that might get you in the right direction.
It sounds like it's taking a cue from George Winston's album 'Linus & Lucy', second song 'Skating'. This link will launch a sample:

About 15 seconds in the clip the song seems to have the same tone as the one in Futurama.

I noticed that one of the little kids skating was dirty and had the pigpen cloud of dust at his feet. I thought that was funny and I wonder if any of you see similarities between the other skaters and Charlie Brown characters.

That's not a classical song, really. It's a "parody" of the music that is used in "A Charlie Brown Christmas." It's not the exact music from the Charlie Brown special, but very similar. If you like the music, try picking up the soundtrack by The Vince Guaraldi Trio. They also have a CD called "Oh, Good Grief!" that has similar music. You can find a lot of the music they used in Ren & Stimpy on a CD called "Music for TV Dinners." I'm sure you can find it on CD now. There's two volumes.

Actually... I've just rewatched that section of the Xmas Special and it actually is a classical song... It may be similar to the one in the Charlie Brown Christmas thingie but in actuality the Charlie Brown Xmas thing may have used something similar to this one...
It's one by Debussy and I used to play it on the flute... I'll look through my old flute music and get back to you guys but in reality it is the first 4 bars of that piece before the instrument (in my case, a flute) comes in...
