After weeks of painful withdrawal, I finally got a dose of new Futurama! Ahhhhhhh that feels good! I dare say that Parasites Lost may be the best Futurama episode of the last 2 seasons. Fry and Leela making out (almost), gratituous use of the word 'ass' and 'colon', and Dr. Zoidberg riding in on a sperm. What more could you ask for?

I don't see it that way - if anything, I think it's the beginning of a new phase in their relationship. That last scene of Fry alone in his room and learning how to properly play the holophone by himself (rather than under the influence of the worms) spoke volumes about how he sees Leela, and he wants to improve so he can win her love. I guess we'll have to see if he succeeds, and if Leela opens her eye....
I would just like to second all the good things people had to say about this episode. Given the ending scene however, does that mean they're breaking the rule of television which, according to Fry, everything to normal?

tonight's episode blew me away. It was absolutely perfect. 30 minutes of
absolute hilarity.
I'll start at the start. It had a great set-up. Fry wishing that Leela
would appreciate him was well-thought out, as well as the truck stop guy
hitting on Leela, which allowed both plots to develop smoothly and related
to each other. Some nice touches on animation compliment it. Once they get
into Fry's body we get some good, easy laughs along the way, with some nice
Fry/Leela scenes that go well with it. But, the third act is what seals this
as the best episode ever.
We see Fry as much of a three-dimensional character as ever. When he
realizes that Leela only loves who he's become, he sacrifices his love life
to be himself, showing his true character. Leela letting him down was easily
done, so that we could sympathize with Fry, but still laugh at Bender's
half-assed way of trying to cheer him up. Finally, at the end when Fry plays
the instrument (sorry, I don't remember what it was called) for the last
time, it gives us a thought-provoking ending that makes the entire episode
memorable.
It could be that I've just gone through a similiar experience - no, I
didn't just get my co-workers shrunken and put inside of me to rid me of a
race of worms that has taken up residence in me, but just this week I was
turned down by someone who meant a lot to me, so this episode really hit
home. We have nothing but new episodes in February; let's hope they can keep

Yes, we all know it's a cartoon and all the characters are cartoon characters (especially Al Gore). Almost every question on this board, except "where do I download eps?", can be answered by saying "it's a cartoon, that's the way it was drawn". Since that would make all discussion of the show very show and a bit boring, we like to discuss the possibilities and minutia of the show without pointing out to each other that it is a cartoon.

Eating is one of Zoidbergs common characteristics and the miniature androids behave like their masters. And don't forget: They control their alter egos via some sort of VR device, so it should seem extremely realistic (future technologies make it possible to include even taste simulations in VR). So Zoidberg can taste anything but won't get satiated.... or will he? The second question is easy to answer: Zoidberg absorbs anything that is wet or slimy ;)
