Not really. While both Bender and Homer are gluttonus, Bender is aware of it and Homer is more ignorant to his greed. The main difference is, Homer is well-meaning and Bender is all-around dirty robot scum. He's still cool, though. 8-]

Bender is more of a Bart-Snake than a Homer. He's mischevious, and likes to steal. Of course, he drinks, so that's a bit of Homer (or Barney), and a tad Patty and Selma because he likes to smoke. So he's a bit of a mix of Springfield citizens of the 20th century.
