Space Piolet 3000. Fry, a dilivery boy from the 20th century delivers a pizza to a cryogenic freezing lab. He works out that it is a prank call and decides to spend New Years eve there. He accidently falls into a freezing chamber that automatically sets itself to 1000 years. New York city is destroyed by aliens then builds into a medievil era and then is destroyed again, but is then built up into a futuristic city. Fry wakes up in the year 2999 New Years eve. He is greated by 2 weird scientist people who take him to the Fate Assignment office. Once there he is in, Fry meets a one-eyed alien called Leela. Leela runs some tests on Fry and finds out that Fry has one living relative. Dr Fransworth. A 140 year old researcher. Leela trys to insert Fry's carrer chip which you are stuck with for the rest of your life. Frys job that most suits him is a dilivery boy. He doesn't like the job so he runs away. Leela chases him into the freezing room and accidently jumps into a frezzing chamber which automatically sets itself to 1000 years. Fry feels sorry for her and changes the setting to 5 minutes. Out into the city Fry goes, he gazes with amazment at the new world. He has a go at the express tube transporter device and ends up slamming into a wall at the end. Fry sees what seems to be a telephone booth but is actually a suicide booth. While waiting in line Bender a robot suddenly appears and Fry starts talking to him. Bender and Fry enter the suicide booth and he tries to make a collect call. Bender rips the booth off by puting in a quater with string attached and Fry is frightend and holds himself and Bender back. When the weapens have finished and the friendly voice speaks, Bender kicks the machine calling it a "rip off". Bender and Fry go into a bar where they become friends. Leela sees them through the window and chases them into the head museum where Fry and Bender get attacked by police officers. Bender and Fry escape down a man-hole and find them selves in the decaying ruins of Old New York. Leela catches up to them and talks to Fry about how she knows how it feels to be alone. She then takes out here carrer chip and they all go to visit Fry's nephew, Dr Fransworth. Dr Fransworth invites them in and shows them his work bench his intergallactic space ship and his assorted pieces of wire. Fry is amazed at the space ship and wants to ride it. Right at the moment, the cops come knocking on the door and Fry, Bender, Leela and Dr Fransworth escape in the space ship. Fry tries to get the ship going but he ends up making a cup of coffee so Leela has to push him out of the way and get them out. When in space they are offered to become the new crew of Dr Fransworth's home bussiness, Planetry Express. They accept the offer and Fry is a delivery boy again.
