I've been watching my Futurama tapes for the past few weeks and I've pretty much made it up to the end of season 3 ("I Dated a Robot")
So far I've run across three pretty emotional episodes. These are:
Parasites Lost The Luck O the Fryish Time Keeps On Slippin'
What do you guys think of these three episodes? Does anyone have a favorite? Are there parts of any of these that choke anyone up? Lets discuss.

"Jurassic Bark" for me- My nine-year-old son and I watched it together, and both got "misty-eyed" at the musical ending. He asked to see it again recently, but I must have accidentally taped over it!

Definetely Jurassic Bark. "Fryish" was fantastic, but Jurassic Bark just beats it, I think. I never cry watching tv or movies, but Jurassic Bark nearly pushed me over the edge (interestly, some of the other instances of me nearly shedding eye water came from older "Simpsons" episodes).

I cried at the end of Jurassic Bark, something I haven't done in like 25 years. I was sobbing and everything. Next to Jurassic Bark, my grandmother's funeral was a laugh riot.
I will never watch that episode again. I couldn't believe how sad and depressing that ending was. My first thoughts (after I was done sobbing like a 12 year old girl) were something to the effect of, I wonder if they originally had some happy ending but changed it sometime after they found out the show was to be cancelled...
It's due to be shown here next Sunday (9/3).

Without giving away the ending of the episode (incase I haven't seen it) which episode is this? (Maybe give some clues from the first few segmets to kick-start the memory if I have seen it)
The Harlem Globetrotters show up and challenge earth to a game of basketball. Farnswerth creates several superpowered basketball players but in doing so rips a hole in the time-space continuum, creating skips in the passages of time. Meanwhile, Fry tries to find a way to get Leela to fall in love with him.
Oh yeah. I remember this episode. Thought it was hilarious. I don't recall a sad ending though...

As Fry tells Leela that sooner or later he'll find a way to get her to love him, a time skip results and Fry and Leela suddenly find themselves getting married, with no knowledge of why. Two seconds later, another time skip results in them getting divorced. Fry cant remember what it was that made Leela fall in love with him enough to want to marry him. I'm not sure of the specifics, but the goal of the Planet Express crew is to blow up the rip in the continuum that is causing the time skips. Important to note is that, earlier in the episode, Fry learned to fly the ship wonderfully in order to impress Leela. After Bender (whose requests to join the Globetrotters have been constantly turned down) places a bomb by the continuum rip, Fry notices something incredible. Much earlier, he had used his newfound ability to pilot the ship in order to move the stars themselves, in order to spell "I Love You, Leela." This is obviously what made Leela fall in love with him. However, this star configuration happens to be dead center in the location of the bomb intended to destroy the continuum rip. Before being able to show Leela, the explosion goes off and scatters the star formation, ruining Fry's one chance. As Fry stands looking out the ship's window, brokenhearted, Bender enters and explains that he knows how it feels to have an unobtainable dream too. Fry continues to stare out the window as Bender exits, sadly whistling the Globetrotters theme song.
Thankfully, in the episode "Love and Rocket" Leela would come to understand how Fry feels about her....

No, Time Keeps on Slippin' was the one with the Harlem Globetrotters and time skipping around randomly. Its often (rightfully) considered emotion for the Fry and Leela part of the story.
I think "Parasites Lost" is the best Fry/Leela episode, especially with Fry, free of the worms, makig a crude but cute hologram of Leela from whatever that instrument is.

Yeah, "Parasites Lost" was the best of the Fry/Leela stuff, especcially the ending as you said. I think its a testemant to the greatness of Futurama that they dont HAVE to end on a joke. They often have the guts to end on a darker/serious note, ala "Lost", "Bark", "Fryish", and "Slippin".

Yes, that too. Even some of the jokier ones, like "Big Peice of Garbage" manage to have a slightly serious ending (in this case because the ending was a satirical message).
I wish certain other shows (COUGHthesimpsonsCOUGH) could still do that.
I also think "Love and Rocket" is a pretty important Fry and Leela episode, even though it is diguised as a Bender show.
Think about it. Leela flat out rejects Fry at the end of "Parasites Lost" and the ending of "Time Keeps On Slipping" was another downer for Fry.
But in "Love and Rocket" Fry actually succeeds. He voluntarily decides to sacrifice himself to save Leela and I think it is here that her feelings finally turn around. Benders love life may have been a shambles in this episode, but we clearly see Fry and Leela holding hands at the very end, even though Zoidberg interrupts them.
And hell, any episode where the characters actually show compassion for the poor abused crab is okay in my book. It's sweet to see Fry and Leela put their arms around Zoidberg and accept the guy.
