Just curious...Why are we still waiting for season 2 DVDs (August 3rd) when season 3 is already out elsewhere?

due to usa 'syndication rules'as far as i know, whcih means that season 1 was released earlier in the uk which means they get each subsequent season before us

The DVD sets were released in the UK earlier because there is no syndication over there. The DVDs were delayed here until FOX could sell the reruns to Cartoon Network. This is the reason the US is behind in releases of Buffy, Angel, Family Guy, and other DVD sets of TV shows.

Yep those explainations are spot-on, but as some side justification to the delay of the US DVD release...
...you get to actually see the episodes first so perhaps it's only fair we get the DVDs before you?
