Episodes in realmedia problems

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does anybody have problems running futurama realmedia files? I've downloaded several episodes, some run fine others freeze up and there's a loss of sync between audio and video. Do I have to download the whole darn thing again? Thanks for any info.

I had problems like those for a while, but I put up with them. Then, off of the truly kickass site where I get all of my episodes, I got the season premier for season three. It said I needed to download all of this crap for realplayer 8. I went ahead and did it because I just wanted to see The Honking already!

Well, once I got realplayer 8 all of the "Net COngestion, Buffering" crap that I got and would freeze the episode for a few minutes was pretty much gone. If that was your problem, consider getting realplayer 8 (it's free). Also, I'm pretty sure that all of the episodes in RM format will soon require real player 8, such as all of the new ones on the site I go to.

Yes, the new codecs they use are a huge improvement in quality. If you encode anything to Real you'd be nuts not to use the new video/audio codecs.
