Some More Comments on [3ACV05] Birdbot of Ice-Catraz

=v= I watched a videotape of Birdbot of Ice-Catraz tonight and noticed a few things that didn't get mentioned here. So I thought I'd mention 'em.

=v= DYN ... one of the cackling-with-glee penguin hunters is Scruffy the janitor?

=v= Movie (and other) References: The "Free Chilly Willy" protest sign combines Free Willy (the environmentally-themed moive) and Chilly Willy (the animated TV Series). Gee, doesn't anyone here know Chilly Willy, a cartoon penguin?

=v= Goof: While driving under the influence of no alcohol, Bender swerves past a purple planet without rings, then two bluish planets. Presumably the last two are Urectum and Neptune, but shouldn't a yellow, ringed planet named Saturn come before them instead of a purple ringless one?

=v= Comment: Nobody's spelled it out, but the Penguins Unlimited founder is the father of the smelly hippie who protested against eating popplers in [2ACV15]. Free Waterfall Jr. was an unrealistic type of activist, feeding tofu to a lion. His father is more of a "deep ecologist" type and is perhaps a bit too realistic, e.g. insisting that the penguins not waste a single part of his body. As a vegetarian eco-activist myself, I like the fact that the show can poke good fun at us and still flesh out some very different types of caricatures. (I can't wait to see how Free Waterfall Sr. Sr. avenges his son, though if "nature's pocket" plays into it, I don't wanna know about it.) <_Jym_>

P.S.: The "Birdman of Alcatraz" was a real person, not just a movie. Juan Valdez is not a real person, though. :^)

I always thought that was a Red Hot Chili Peppers reference...
