How could possibly Zoidberg know his own mother, since his specie always die just after mating on the great frenzy ?
Zoidberg's mother ???

How would Matt Groening or the staff of Futurama know what the year 3000 looks like?

All the males die. (Poor Uncle Harold Zoid - that old and a virgin...)

Maybe they got some mushrooms from Aaron Sorkin.
I think that was Zoidberg's smizmar.
In That's Lobstertainment Zoidberg writes a letter to his Uncle Zoid and mentions 3 parents.

Just guessing here:
Biological mothers die after mating, but after the young emerge from the larval stage they are adopted and raised by another member of the species. This adoptive mother is the one Zoidberg is referring to.

No, just the males die - apparently, losing all their jelly kills them. Who said the mothers die?

What he says is "once my species passes on it's genes it dies". That would include the females as well as the males. If they simply hatch from eggs, I don't know how they would know anything about their relatives.

Hey folks, new to the group here.
Well, youre all kindda making sense here ... but to really make sense, I think we gotta live with the fact that this is a cartoon show with no meaning whatsoever. :-) In a good sense, of course.
I mean, its not like its Lord of the Rings or something. :-)

Who
"once my species passes on it's genes it dies"
So when a comedian knocks 'em dead, he actually murders them?
When someone is fit to be tied, does that mean you're supposed to bind them to a chair?
I could go on, but my point is made.
In nature, it isn't unusual for the males to die immediately after copulation - many male fish die after leaving their "jelly" in real life, in fact.

Mr. Luxury Yacht, sorry to get off-topic, but is your name actually pronounced Throat Wobbler Mangrove?
Actually, "Throatwobbler" is one word.
It's an interesting thought to make it two words. Not a bad idea, but not so good that I'm saying it's a good idea because you want me to.
It's a *splunge* idea.

Yeah, yeah, splunge for me, too! (In fact, "splunge" was my very first e-mail ID.)
If you're going to split hairs, I'm going to piss off!

Until the advent of closed captioning, I always thought it was "warbler," which also kinda sorta makes sense.
