I've enjoyed this newsgroup for a while. But now I must say good-bye. It seems like trolls have invaded this newsgroup as well as some other NGs. But I am still a Futurama fan, always will be.
As for you, Sparechanj, I had no idea what you were talking about by saying that I was 'the guy'. Please explain that to me. I hope in the future you guys can either killfile or simply just ignore these flaming lamers that have been invading this place. Bye, now.

Every year around this time and again in Sept, the trolls step out from under their assorted bridges and into the newsgroups. Not that they don't always exist, but they are out in force right now.
It's caused by two factors.
1.Immature kids getting new computers for Xmas, Hanukkah, Solstice, Kwanza, Festivus or whatever. They take a few weeks to figure out how to use Usenet and then they show up. In Sept, it's Back to school presents from the parental units, who have never used computers themselves, or are too busy to spend time with their kids and see what they are doing on the interenet.
2. Children who are just starting at a new school or university and have internet access for the first time.
They win in two way.
1. By wasting the time of real users. This can escalate into a war of words amongst the regulars of the group being attacked. As we have seen here.
2. By getting people who usually contribute to a group to give up and leave.
Don't feed the trolls and don't let them win. Kill file and forget them.
