Futurama : Zapp Brannigan

Am I the only person who hates him, and wishes he wasn't in the show?

It's not just that he makes General Custer look competent, but that he never seems to get come-uppance for his incompetence & irresponsibility.

I like Zapp, especially the way he says 'velour'....

"The Jetsons" was just "The Flintstones", not in space exactly, but in the space age.

Of course, "The Flinstones" was just the typical late fifties American suburban sit-com family depicted as living in the stone age.

Its one of those shows that ages better then second time you watch it. A lot of good writing and jokes are often overlooked.

I think he's a good character that adds a lot, when used with proper restraint.

The part was originally written for Phil Hartman, and it's tragic that he couldn't do it. The best Brannigan episodes are the ones where the character is played as Hartman would have done it.
