Can such values be hoped for in any possible Futurama release? Or are they that cheap due to the fact that FOX has already made countless millions on the show?

Keep in mind that Season 1 was a half-season, so it's just a two-DVD set. It's also poorly animated with unusual characterizations and voices (given the later episodes), and so the appeal is a tad less.

I agree. Season One was my favorite.
I heard Futurama comes out in January - I speculate price will be similar. FYI Circuit City also advertised the Simpsons DVDs yesterday in the newspaper, about the same price.

But The X-Files Seasons are worth it no matter the price! Then again... I'm going for the U.K. Versions and Season 3 comes out in November... While 4 is the one to look out for in the U.S. Does anyone have the U.S. versions? (okay off topic, but just a teensie question).... And do they still have the clips from foreign seasons?

And I also agree that the price of the X-Files sets are well worth it and with some good deals here and there I've gotten all 4 seasons at very good prices.

I don't know. In any given season there are more then a few episodes I really would rather not pay for *Cough*Stephan King*Cough*. I wish they would make an Arc only collection. None of the fluff episodes.

Kinda like I want somebody to market Sunday newspapers by section--I'd just buy the funnies, the TV book, the magazine, the arts section, etc., since I always throw the front page, sports, business, real estate, travel, and most of the ads out unread. It would be too hard to produce the right number of sections, I imagine (darn)...

At least we (in Phoenix) have a decent recycling program. All of our sandwiches are made out of discarded sandwiches. . .
