Is FOX EVER going to show new eps again????

I ask because it seems like every week it is either a repeat or is pushed aside in favor of Football. I think there was a Christmas episode this year but FOX can't actually show it near X-mas, heavens no. I read an article with Groening where he, sardonically, stated that due to postponements he doesn't think the X-mas episode will actually air until Valentines day. It seems he may be right. By the time they air the X-mas episode it will seem too out of place (I LOVED last years so I know I will still like it though).

Futurama is one of the best, and only good, shows on TV at the moment but I never seem to see it anymore. Thankfully I have the east and west broadcasts otherwise I would not even get the repeats every week due to postponements for football (I do have them all on tape though). They could never postpone, say, The Simpsons or King Of The Hill though. That would be a tragedy it seems.<begin sarcasm> Futurama is only a witty and well written show (like the Simpsons USED to be) so no one will miss it. <End sarcasm>

Since hours of Football post-game coverage seem more important than the actual SCHEDULED programming these days I doubt we will get any more new episodes during the football season. Damn FOX for doing this.

I do have a conspiracy theory involving Futurama though. Since the network seems intent on killing the show and I am sure Groening is upset over this, maybe he is sending a protest to FOX by allowing The Simpsons to get so awful it is almost unwatchable. If he lets The Simpsons slip to the point it looses viewers maybe he figures FOX will give Futurama the chance it deserves.

Anyway I love the show and I am eagerly awaiting ANY new episodes.

Killing it? Word is out that Futurama is indeed renewed for the 2001-2002 season. Now if they can only find a better time slot that is not 8:00 Thursday night.

After seeing 'Computer Who Wore Menace Shoes' last night, I'm inclined to agree with you. :)

It started off all right, but then degenerated into farce like Saddlesore Galactica. I don't mind this on the THOH shows, but not on ordinary episodes. :(

Well, the problem with that is that some people in the USA (West Coast) probably DID see the new episode last night. So you may very well get to see them before we East coasters in the USA do! :-(

The only thing I am grateful for is that they didn't "join the currently broadcasting program" like they did with _The Honking_ episode. I saw the last 5-10 minutes of that because I was confused by the fact that they actually DID that!

And if they just chose to start the programs a little later, all the people who tape the shows onto VCRs/PVRs would be up in arms. *SIGH*

There was no new episode last night. It was "A bicyclops built for two".

I always set my VCR to record an hour longer just in case something starts late. I haven't yet figured out how to record an entire show when it is joined in progress or not shown at all.
