Uk Futurama

Just wonderin how many people in this group are from the UK? Is it "the birdbot of Ice-catraz" this Sunday, or are Sky gonna pull the same stunt they did with "The day the Earth stood stupid" and "That's Lobstertainment" (i.e play the eps out of order to make it more relavent). Wouldn't be a bad idea to show "Luck of the Fryish" 1st as it WOULD be on St Patricks day weekend.

I'm german but I usually prefer the english episodes...

btw why do you blokes all call that day 'red nose' day...?

It's Comic Relief. Called Red Nose day as a comedy gimmick, clown wear red noses. Each year the organisers produce a different styled red nose to sell in aid of the charity. So no cheap skate B*st*ds can go around wearing old noses.

I think they did this because 'The Day the Earth Stood Stupid' showed a train crash, which would have been just days after one really happened.

BTW, I expected the episode to be about those little green brain slugs we'd seen before, so I was surprised.

Does Scotland count as the UK? Sky love showing episodes out of sequence, it's their thing. But saying that didn't channel4 show the first series out of sequence as well?

Reminds me of the time I heard that Illinois PBS was rerunning Doctor Who episodes (back in the Tom Baker days) out of order.

Baker as several Dr. Whos in. Iowa PBS was showing the Pertwee (sp?, the one before Baker) Dr. Who as 3:30 PM kiddie fodder back in '75-'76. Reputedly, the earlier Dr. Whos (which I haven't seen) were older and more professorly, while the later ones were younger and more rattled brained. I guess that the space case Baker would be a transitional Who between these.

100% overpriced / Flood / BSE / Foot & Mouth UK here.... Judging by the other posts I think the new episodes in th UK get pulled when, for whatever reason, they don't get shown in the US - i.e. the episodes are never shown in the UK first, they have to wait for them to be aired in the US first hence the reruns. Personally i've been a bit disappointed with some of the series 3 episodes but that might be cos the series 1 and 2 ones are so great. I've missed some of the earlier ones so i've been catching up - "How Hermes requisitioned his groove back" is now on my fav list. BTW, what's happened to Zap and Kiff?????
